This series began in 2008, between my undergraduate and graduate studies. I was interested in coming up with a process of documenting the relationships I made and experiences I had during an open-ended trip that I took to Europe in the Summer/Fall of 2008.

The result was this series of Walking Maps, where I asked people to take me on a walk through their spaces. They decided where the walk was taking place and how long it took. My process was to point the camera straight forward and take a photograph every 30 seconds. Each frame in the final piece is made up of 10 photographs (5 minutes of that walk), and they read from left to right and top to bottom.
